Tutorials:Change internal graphics of your SE phone and Radio without hands-free.
Change internal graphics of your phone.
Use this patch:
http://www.4shared.com/file/17726529/577898ac/change_internal_v2.html
Get the graphics from:
http://www.4shared.com/file/16785542/68825a59/Sysgfx_pack_remixed_by_yogesh.html
What to do next is:
Go to phone memory/pictures.
Create a folder name gfx.
copy all the sysgfx inside this gfx folder.
Restart your phone.
Radio hands-free patch:
Use this patch:
http://www.4shared.com/file/10864384/bcd39239/w800_R1BC002_radio.html
(You must be familiar to how to use patch files.)
Obviously we need an antenna for reciever.
so we are going to use any small metal part to act as antenna like aluminium chocolate foil, bike key, jump clip, a wire bit at the second pin from left of our data interface
(The place were we connect our charger/headset, there will be totally 12 pins and the 3nd corresponds to the FM antenna)
Place it such that it is not disturbed and then your phone will play FM without headset!!

Change images and sounds at startup and shutdown of your SE phone.!
Start up/shutdown image/sound change
The images must be in 176 X220 resolution, the file name must be like this
Boot image: SPLASH
Startup Image: STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC
Shutdown Image: SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC
Startup Sound: STARTUP_SOUND_SEMC
Shutdown Sound: SHUTDOWN_SOUND_SEMC
And you must know to use FAR and XS to do this changes.
Startup and shutdown images and sounds are located in various locations. To change, simply delete the existing file, and copy in your file with the same name.
Here are the various names, file sizes, formats and locations:
Boot image: SPLASH in /tpa/preset/system/settings/
This is the 176x220 pixel image displayed at boot up, called the Splash Screen.
Can be in gif, bmp or png format.
Animation not supported.
Startup Image: STARTUP_IMAGE_SEMC in /tpa/preset/system/settings/
This is the 176x220 pixel image shown after the Splash screen.
This image can be chosen by the user in settings/display/start-up screen so you don't need internal file system access to change this image.
Shutdown Image: SHUTDOWN_IMAGE_SEMC in /tpa/preset/system/settings/
This is the 176x220 pixel image that is shown when the phone is shutting down.
Can be in gif, bmp or png format.
Animation is supported, but total number of frames should be kept low, and gif should not be set to repeat animation, as this will slow down the shutdown.
Startup Sound: STARTUP_SOUND_SEMC.mid or STARTUP_SOUND_SEMC.mp3 in /tpa/preset/system/settings/
This is the sound that plays when the phone starts up.
Shutdown Sound: SHUTDOWN_SOUND_SEMC.mid or SHUTDOWN_SOUND_SEMC.mp3 in /tpa/preset/system/settings/
This is the sound that plays when the phone is shutting down.
Have Fun...!

Store unlimited messages in your phone(for people familiar with flashing)
Tools Required:
1. USB Flash Drivers
2. DCU-60 Cable (The cable gn generally wid K750i/W800i)
3. XS++ (A tool to customize yur fone)
4. FAR Manager (Tool to crack your fone, get into the software part of ur fone)
____________________________________________________________
Procedure:
1. First check the CID version of ur fone. There are two versions, CID 36 (a bit older one) and CID 49.
2. ONLY FOR CID 49
Your version of CID may not be compatible wid the version of FAR or SEFP plugin, given in here. So, u may ve to patch ur fone, to make it compatible with the gn version of FAR and so the SEFP plugin.Remove your SIM and connect the phone to the USB cable, pressing and holding the 'C' button on ur fone, after clicking START in the XS++ window. Now, tick the Flash Main Firmware and hit the '...'[Path finder] button. There, select FAR--> FAR Plugins --> k750w800_r2e_dcu.49r.ssw, which u ve downloaded. After doin this, hit FLASH. Yur fone ll be flashed and will wither hang or display a msg, 'Flashing Successful'.
3. For both CID 36/CID 49
Now, u ve to breakthru the software part of ur fone. For this, open FAR manager. Hit F11. Select SEFP 0.10.0.51 from the list shown.U ll now be taken to the SE Flash Pluign(SEFP) window. Here, u have 3 options. Select the following...
Device : DCU - 60Speed : 921600Boot Script : (Pl be careful here. Select according to ur CID version. Assuming that ur fone's CID Version is 49,) k750_w800_CID49
Now hit "Enter the Matrix".
Now connect ur fone holding the 'C' button, and insert the data cable.
4. U re inside ur Fone:
Here, u ll find ur window divided into two halves. The left part of the window shows the files of yur fonr and the right side shows the files in ur PC.
Now double click FS (File System) and wait till it hacks ur fone.
now follow this path .. ifs -> settings -> Messaging.
Here u ll find a file "pref_store.txt"
Hit F4 to edit the file. U ll find '/smsdata' written there by default. Change it to '/tpa'
Now hit F2 to save and F10 to quit editing.
5. Finalizing
You re done with the oprn. u now need to shut down the FAR Manager. For this, keep on clicking '...', which u l find in the top of the left side of the window, untill it asks to shutdown the loader. Click Yes and quit the manager.
6. Only for CID 49
Now, u ll have to remove the patch u ve applied. Again open FAR Manager and connect the fone in the same way as mentioned above.
This time, go to FLASH instead of FS.
At the right, go to plugins foler -> REST. Select the appropriate firmware u ve. I have w800i r1b002 ,loaded into my fone. so, select file REST_W800_R1BC002 and drag it to the left hand side screen, drop it over there. From the window that top ups, select 'Copy'. U ll again C another window. Hit FLASH. Close FAR Manager ...
Insert SIM and njoy unlimited SMS storage!!

Sony Ericsson GPRS settings.
I have seen people around here struggling to get settings of gprs for their phone.
These mobile operators dont seem to have the correct configurations for sony ericssons.(esp. operators like Idea cellular in India).
So all you people, simply go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/ and get your gprs settings directly from there.
You will get your settings directly send to your handset almost immediately.
This is the easiest (and also the smartest :)) ) way to get your settings.
All the best.
Sony Ericsson is always there to help us.
I love sony ericsson!

Miscellaneous Tricks
Sometimes we find good gif animated files in some themes. Instead using the whole theme we can just extract the animated files alone.
1.Just change the extension .thm to .rar
2.Then Extract it
3.Open the folder nd get the GIF(animated) file

Known/Hidden Smileys
Try these out in messages...

Keeping your phone safe
Mobile Phone Care
1. Water And Phones Don't Mix
Don't let your phone get wet. Even slight amounts of water can corrode internal components, causing anything from the display to the memory to quit working. In most cases, water-damaged phones have to be replaced.
Be sure protect your mobile phone from the elements by keeping it away from water and sand. Although we don't recommend taking your phone to the beach, if you must, then make sure to keep it in its protective case.
Keep in mind that not only swimming pools pose threats to your phone. Phones can be damaged after being set on a wet bar or being dialed with wet hands.
If your phone does get wet, leave it to dry. Don't turn it on or off until it has completely dried, or you might short out some of its electronics. If it does not work properly, contact the product manufacturer. Water damage will usually void your product warranty.
2. Crushing Defeat
Try not to drop your phone. Depending on what type of surface it lands on, dropped phones can suffer cracked screens or dislodged internal components.
The worst damage occurs when a falling phone is connected to an accessory such as a headset, as the impact often bends or rips out the jack where the accessory connects to the phone. While you're walking around, a good way to keep your phone securely at your side is to use a belt clip or a holster.
Another good reason to use a carrying case or belt clip is to keep the phone from being mashed inside a briefcase. Cracked display screens or broken antennas can result when someone tries to squeeze a handset into an overloaded briefcase.
3. The Heat Is On
As the summer in some countries (like India) can be quite extreme, don't subject your phone to harsh weather conditions. Just like you, your phone can cook and fry in the blazing heat of the sun.
If you use your phone in the car, it's a good idea NOT to leave it there on a sweltering afternoon. Extreme heat can damage the battery or transceiver, the part of the phone
4. Zapping The Life Out Of It
A mobile phone can heat up internally if you leave it plugged into a charger or car adapter longer than the time recommended in your phone's manual. Daily over charging can destroy a battery and melt internal phone components. Over charging affects the various phone and battery models differently, but to be safe, it is better to completely discharge the phone's battery when it is low, rather than to partially recharge it.
If your phone has a NiCad battery it is very important to completely discharge it. If the battery is Li-Ion then this is not such a big issue. See your phone manual for more information about charging your phone.
5. Sticky Fingers
Keep your eyes open and don't leave you mobile phone unattended to, no matter what company you are in. If your phone is stolen, call your network service provider immediately. As with credit cards, your provider will deactivate your phone number to prevent your account from being charged with fraudulent calls.
You should also keep your cellphone's IMEI number and your SIM number handy in such cases. It's better to note them down beforehand than to repent later.
